Check-In: 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Please notify us well in advance, if you anticipate a later arrival, or if you’d like an earlier arrival. 

Check-Out: 11:00 am

Accommodations for later check outs are possible.

Parking:

We offer convenient off street parking on our grounds adjacent to the Inn. To ensure a space for all of our guests, your parking space may be assigned at the time of your reservation.

Quiet Hours:

We observe quiet hours at the Inn from 10 pm – 8 am. If you are coming in late or rising early, please be considerate of your fellow guests.

Social Drinking:

We allow guests to bring and consume adult beverages responsibly.

Guns and Weapons:

We are a weapon-free zone. Please leave weapons locked and secured at home or in your vehicle.

Candles:

As required by law and fire code, and for the safety and security of all of our guests, we are unable to allow the use of open flames such as candles, etc.


 

It is our wish that your stay be enjoyable and memorable. To help us provide you with the best possible service, please review the following policies and understand our need to abide by them. Call or email us with any questions you may have.

Cancellation Policy: Every reservation we receive is important and special to us. We take great care in preparing for your arrival - from room preparation to creating a breakfast menu suited to your dietary needs.  We sincerely appreciate each reservation we receive! It means we've committed to have your room ready and available upon your arrival.

While we understand that life isn't always predictable and that plans change, we do request that you contact us no less than 72 hours prior to your check-in date to let us know of your changes.  At that time, you will be charged a $30 cancellation fee. If you need to cancel within 72 hours you will be charged the full value of your reservation.

Reservations for holidays and/or three or more rooms and whole-house bookings have a 30-day cancellation policy.

Trip Insurance: We do recommend that you consider purchasing private trip insurance if an unforeseen event causing you to cancel would result in undue stress or discomfort for you.

Smoke-Free Facility: The Nordic Pineapple is proud to offer a smoke-free environment. Smoking is not permitted in guest suites, indoor or outdoor public areas, nor anywhere on our grounds where it may impact other guests or pose a fire hazard. We will assess a $250 fee to your credit card for any violations of our no smoking policy and we reserve the right to ask you to leave the premises immediately. If the suite is damaged or requires an excessive amount of cleaning; an additional cleaning fee will be assessed to your credit card at a minimum hourly rate of $95/hour and any damages will be assessed the value of repair or replacement. Violation of this policy also violates Michigan State Law and you may subject to the cost of the fine. Our non-smoking policy includes all types of tobacco, as well as e-cigarettes, etc.

Technology: Wireless internet access is complimentary throughout the inn. We request that you refrain from large downloads and streaming as a courtesy to your fellow guests and the business function of the bed and breakfast. We are not responsible for service outages of this service including: provider maintenance, weather conditions or incompatibly with your electronic devises. Please do not use cell phones or other devices in areas that might disturb other guests.

Children: The Nordic Pineapple welcomes children over the age of 2. All children must behave in a way as to not disturb the other guests, residents & business functions at the bed and breakfast. Children behaving inappropriately will be required to be removed to their suites. Children should never be left unattended on inn property. Injuries to children and damages to the bed and breakfast or other guests are the complete responsibility of the parent or adult. The bed and breakfast does not have high chairs, portable cribs or children’s menus.

Pet policy: If you plan to bring your pet, you must notify us at the time you make your reservation, as pets are only allowed in The Purple Viking room, our designated "Pet Friendly" suite. We charge a $50.00 pet fee per stay. Maximum canine occupancy is 1. When booking online please select “Pet Package” at check-out indicating that you will be accompanied by your best friend.

  • We ask that you not leave your dog unattended, even during breakfast. When not with you in the suite, dogs must be kenneled or kept in your vehicle.

  • You are responsible for your pet's behavior. Pets must remain on leashes or under owner command at all times while on inn property.

  • We do not allow your pet to sleep on the bed with you or to sit on the furniture. Feel free to bring your pet's favorite blanket or bed as well.

  • You are responsible for any and all damage caused to your guest suite, including but not limited to stains and/or odors, damage to furnishings (e.g., chewing or scratching or tearing). Any damage discovered during or after the pets stay will be charged to the guest’s card.

Photography & Outside Guests: We understand that our grounds and home are the perfect setting for your photographs and we would love to be a part of your special memories; we do ask that you notify us in advance so that we can ensure our overnight guest are aware and that no other functions or activities will interfere. To insure privacy, photographs of our guests are not permitted without their prior permission. Persons found to be on property taking personal photographs without permission or enjoying our facilities without being a guest, will be considered trespassers and will be asked to leave.

Special Services: Please contact the bed and breakfast prior to arrival to arrange any special service items. Sometimes we can accommodate a last minute request but we would rather not risk your disappointment. It is best to plan ahead.

Miscellaneous: Motor homes, RV’s and trailers cannot be accommodated. No exercise equipment may be affixed to any room surface, door, casing or furniture.

Our Mission: At The Nordic Pineapple, we are dedicated to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personally identifiable information.

Information Collection: Our main purpose in collecting your personal information is to provide you with a streamlined experience in making reservations. We only collect information about you that we consider necessary for achieving this. Personally identifiable information is only obtained when making a reservation.

We sometimes use data collection devices such as “cookies” on certain pages of the Site to measure effectiveness and safety. A “cookie” is a small file that gets placed on your hard drive that helps us provide our services. You are free to decline cookies if you choose to.

Security: At The Nordic Pineapple, we take security seriously. When users make a reservation we use every precaution to safe guard it online and offline.

Policy Modifications: The Nordic Pineapple may amend this Privacy Statement from time to time in order to meet changes in the regulatory environment, business needs, or to satisfy the needs of our guests, properties, strategic marketing partners, and service providers. Please do not hesitate to inquire about this or any policy for which you may have question.
