There's always something to do in our great city of St Johns and you can learn more about all of them by visiting our Things to Do page. When it comes to events, our local festivals are some of the best around. These are just some of the great events you can plan your stay around when visiting The Nordic Pineapple!

Concert in the Park Series
June - August, St Johns Michigan


Every Wednesday night, rain or shine, the Clinton County Arts Council and the City of St Johns present the "Concert in the Park" series. The concerts are free of charge and held at the William E. Tennant Performance Shell in St Johns City Park.

From Bluegrass to Country and everything in between, each Wednesday is a chance to experience a great show. Crowd favorite Matt King is the series closer each year, with an Elvis tribute show you won't want to miss. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy!

It's a Thursday Thing
June - September, St Johns Michigan

Thursday's in downtown St Johns you can enjoy music from some great local artists. Come and listen from 5-7pm!

Brown Bag Series
July - August, St Johns Michigan

Enjoy the sounds of summer, every Friday in downtown St Johns. Within walking distance of The Nordic Pineapple, this concert series provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy lunch from one of our great local restaurants while listening to some great musicians from all over the state.

"This series of free concerts will feature musicians from around the state and will include a couple of Grammy Award winners from Ann Arbor," states Bill Tennant, concert coordinator. "These hour-long concerts will feature outstanding soloists and duos during the lunch hour."

Uncle John's Woodshed 2022
Saturday, July 23rd St Johns, Michigan

Michigan's favorite apple orchard is celebrating their 50th anniversary with a full day of music at the farm! Uncle John's Cider Mill is a short 12 minute drive from our Inn and it's worth visiting even on non festival days. Tickets are $10 and Free for those 18 and under!

JazzFest Michigan
August 4th - 6th Old Town of Lansing, Michigan

This three day open-air festival showcase's diverse styles of jazz, attracting well-known and up-and-coming musicians from across the state and around the world. "Lots of interactive family friendly activities as well."

St Johns Mint Festival
August 12-14 St Johns, Michigan

The pride of St Johns, "come celebrate our Mint farming heritage with a weekend of fun for the whole family!" There is something for everyone at one of Michigan's favorite festivals. Sit back and enjoy the Rodeo, Pageant or live entertainment schedule (You can enjoy the Mint Parade right from The Nordic Pineapple's porch!). Want to get in on the action? Compete in the 3 on 3 basketball tournament, cornhole tournament or kickball tournament! Did we mention there's mint ice cream?

76th Annual Ox Roast
August 19-21 Dewitt, Michigan


Our neighbors to the south put on one heck of a festival with their Annual Ox Roast. Enjoy live music each day, the Ox Roast Parade, arts and crafts, a cornhole tournament , pancake breakfast, duck race, kids tractor pull and more! Of course you won't want to miss the ox roast and delicious food vendors.

Michigan Old U.S. 27 Motor Tour
August 22nd - 28th

A week long traveling car show that stops right in downtown St Johns! The Cruise-in Downtown St Johns is set for August 25th from 9-11am.

"The Tour began in 2006 and has evolved into a summer highlight in the State of Michigan for car enthusiasts as well as anyone looking to come out, view the amazing cars that come into town, and capture a bit of history"

Fall FEASTival
Saturday, September 17th 2022. St Johns, Michigan

The 3rd annual Fall FEASTival is sure be another huge hit for food lovers in Mid Michigan! This free, family fun event features over 100 Michigan-Made food producers, farms, and food trucks and is put on by the Eat Healty, Eat Local Foundation as a celebration of Michigan Made foods.

Plan to spend the day downtown with live entertainment, face painting and more!
